Day 361

  • It’s surprisingly exciting to be building my online store, and all the ins and outs of that.

The most fun part of it is having a new place for my art to live. This is something I’ve been dreaming of for YEARS, and so I am so grateful to finally have found a way.

(I’m also in search of a vendor who I can work with, who creates simple athletic-style long and medium-long dresses! Putting that out there. 🙂)

New dresses! - my personal favorite.

I got a request for a Red dress ❤️ and Ocean art as Unisex Hoodie 🤗.

There is an orange 🧡 and white Circle dot art dress.

The Ornament Christmas art is now a dress.

“Art is Love” theme comes as a hoodie, tote bag, mugs (11 oz, 15 oz, 20 oz sizes) and a range of color t-shirts.

January is around the corner and I’m working on my first 30 day Art and Merchandize Drop.

I’m trying to create a rhythm for 2024 that has realistic timelines for me to get done what I need to get done every month.

    🤗

I watched the Kennedy Center Honors last night, as a way of filling my cup up with joy.

Opera is one of my loves, and hearing Renée Fleming live at the Met was such a piece of bliss. One of my favorite things about sitting in an opera house is finding the people who are in tears while they listen. Maybe I should have lived in opera-loving Italy. I was born on an Italian ship, it was a nationality option when Chris and I were 18…

Just to think that Renée Fleming was met with skepticism in the opera world when she was just beginning. I am grateful to read that she has acknowledged periods of self-doubt and uncertainty during her early career.

When Julia Bullock, Ailyn Pérez, Angel Blue, and Nadine Sierra sang to honor Renée Fleming, all I can say is my Soul went to a different realm.

Queen Latifa and her music was the first celebrity I deeply loved. Her physical presence (also large), her words (blunt) and her own version of feminism felt incredibly empowering to me in the 1990’s. Bliss and sigh. In hindsight I can see how much any courageous woman has empowered me, where there were holes in my life.

These Oscars, the Golden Globe Awards, the Kennedy Awards art-recognition events are so precious to me. They remind me of what I value - art, expression and connecting on a heart level, which is where I think all the real power lies …

    Love, Anne
