Day 352 Art Meditation, November 25, 2023

Every November G and I are in Arizona to visit his parents for Thanksgiving, and every year I think wow America is so beautiful - landscape wise. It’s a thrill to experience this strange desert landscape, dry air, spectacular skies and views. This year I thought wouldn’t it be wonderful if Americans visited each other’s States more as a feeling of national pride and harmony. Couldn’t that be a way into each other’s Heart-spaces? The idea being this - Instead of whose turf it is, to be curious, open and share stories … It’s a fabulous reason to “only” talk about the weather! (“Wait, it gets 98 degrees at night time??”)

I wonder if it’s too late to put that on my bucket list, to visit all 50 States?

Movie recommendation! We watched a documentary on the building of the Golden Gate bridge on PBS. It’s the most completely “American” story - of perseverance and reaching heights beyond limitations. 

The pieces of information that landed into my Soul were that the man whose idea it was to build this bridge, spent years pitching it, and he wouldn’t quit on the idea. 

The group (of men) who had the vision to build it and make it happen, made it happen DURING the Great Depression. So this idea to manifest / create / visualize something BEYOND the current deep limitations is incredibly inspiring. 

There were massive engineering challenges to overcome, and many believed it could not be done. 

The documentary is packed with life metaphors, and I am always craving stories of perseverance when it comes to Creating. Also, this lovely idea of what makes America great, when we focus on beauty, innovation and supporting each other.
