Coldwell Banker UX Design Shopping Cart, Concord, CA
One of the things I love about being a designer is solving problems. One example is creating a visual solution to create a super user friendly design experience. One of the things I did while I covered for someone on maternity leave at Coldwell Banker was transform a very vertical and text heavy site map (which are usually horizontal) and into a fluid, visual shopping solution. The target audience were the in-house real estate agents of the company to be able to promote their properties with CB-marketing materials, and this shopping experience was giving them quick and easy access to their online order process.
The part that makes me proud is that every design situation (and industry) is NEW and I knew it was a challenge to ‘crack’ this one, and my clients at CB were so happy with my work!
How would this fit into my brand? That moment when the clients were EXCITED about my work, and I was happy to deliver. It’s not really the Ego at work, it’s a heart kind of joy … That’s the moment I love being a designer and why I keep doing it. It’s the making / solving / collaborating / supporting each other together …. That stuff is beautiful.
